We're less than a month away from one of the largest annual craft shows in the Durham Region!

The Durham Craft and Gift Show will be held from Friday October 24th - Sunday October 26th.

For additional information please visit their website:

The show is held at the UOIT/Durham College campus. 2000 Simcoe St. N. Oshawa

I'm very excited to be a returning vendor at this show, with over 140 vendors it makes for a fun fall weekend and a great opportunity to get a head start on Christmas shopping!

First Day of Fall - 2014

Hello Everyone!

Happy First Day of Fall!

Fall is absolutely my favourite season. I love all the fall colours, fall scents, and of course the food!

I recently made these awesome pumpkin spice donuts that are NOT deep fried. (woo-hoo!) They taste super delicious and are really easy to make and they also make the kitchen smell amazing.

This is the recipe that I used: http://www.cookingclassy.com/2014/08/pumpkin-doughnuts/
Enjoy! :)

In other news, I recently got in these adorable sewing-themed LED light key chains! They come in three different styles, the sewing machine, scissors or the needle & spool of thread. They're super adorable to attach to scissors or rotary cutters if you're taking your tools to a workshop or class, you will always know which ones are yours! They also make a cute accessory to simply attach to your house or car keys, or even to attach to your purse or quilting bags for a retreat! (Wouldn't these also make adorable little stocking stuffers!?)

They're $2 each or you can purchase the set of three keychains for $5!

I will be shipping these within Canada and the USA only. If you're interested in purchasing one please send me an E-mail at quilters.workshop@gmail.com

Happy Sewing!

Fall 2014!

Hi Everyone!

Long time no chat via this blog!
Unfortunately I am experiencing some technical difficulties with my "new blog" that I launched in August 2013 along with my website. For now, we're going to take a stroll down memory lane and re-visit my old blog!

I will be making all future posts here. Hopefully I can now be a bit more consistent with my posts and YouTube tutorials.

So what is new with me, you might be wondering...

I received my Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources this past spring upon finishing my four year program at university. NO MORE SCHOOL! YAY! (Can you tell I'm excited?)

I am now working in my field of study and yes of course still running my sewing lessons on Saturdays, doing craft shows and of course trunk show presentations.

Throughout the summer I visited the guilds of Muskok, Wasaga Beach and Lindsay Ontario.

Just last week I had the pleasure of travelling to Fergus Ontario, to give my presentation to the ladies of the "Grand Quilt Guild".

All of my students have been working hard throughout the summer. These are just some of the projects my students have completed recently:

I'm always so proud of the work of all of my students! It makes me so happy to see how excited they are each time they finish a project.

My next craft show event will be held Friday October 24th-Sunday October 26th 2014, held at the UOIT/Durham College gyms. 2000 Simcoe St. North, Oshawa.
More details to come!

As always, if anyone has any questions or needs some advice with a project they are working on, please feel free to send me an E-mail at quilters.workshop@gmail.com
